✄ MACKSIMUHM DUHLISHUSNISS

first print of the year!!
not very satisfied with it, so you get dis .gif of my proof print instead.
added watercolour and gold ink on top!

rough sketch before i went on etchin.
i think if i'd been able to achieve the same thickness as i did with pencil, i'd be a lot happier with the etching. a lot of the finer details were lost because my lines were way too thin. :c i also probably should've left it in the acid for a little longer. :u

sketch-->transfer with oil pastel

i really like how it looks on the plate before all that acid business. ; u ;

werkspace (are you sick of this face yet???)

COIN LOCKER BABIES!

holycats i'm really loving this gold ink. making excuses to use it evvverywherrrrre. c:

☺faces

i have a new scanner! \o/
after four complicated and incredibly frustrating years with my old canon printer-scanner, it finally crapped out on me right before the new semester began. worst timing or perfect timing?? i do not know.
this new scanner is superfast though! it even scans my paintings a million times more vibrant than they actually are! can't really say if this is a good or bad thing yet... :'D

BUT TO CELEBRATE HERE IS SOME ARRRT.
practicing faces and gouache and stuff.

watercolour inks

gouache and black ink
my first attempt at gouache! again! i still have no idea what kind of treatment i should be giving the gouache. still at a trial&error stage. :c
i absolutely do not like how i inked his hair. IT IS TERRIBLE FORGIVE ME.
also, is there a name for oval-shaped eyebrows? I REALLY LIKE THEM. kind of like what Machiko Kyo had in Rashomon?

some wonky eye business there

gouache and black ink
self portrait???as a badassmuthasucka
irl the painting is a lot more sloppy and blotchy. the scanned version has kind of.. hidden all of those flaws. :Y

this is all i have to offer in the meantime.
TIME 2 GET SOME SLEEP.
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR, BLAWG.

☃ secret santa

(click for a larger version)
my secret santee this year was IUUUUUUULES!
classes ended really early this year, so i had more time to work on the handmade part of her present! i made a (fully functional!!) paper doll of her and some of her Lolita outfits. with a bit of maneuvering, the clothes and accessories can actually fit onto the doll! haha it was pretty exciting the first time i tried it out! they don't fit as nicely as i would have liked ( i didn't make enough tabs, and the placement of the tabs themselves don't really allow for the pieces to sit securely on the doll :c ) BUT THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE IT'S MY FIRST ONE AND THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER FROM HERE, RIGHT?
i'm pretty proud of it, and i think i'm going to make a few for my own characters too! MAYBE SELL EM? (pre-cut/not)
BUTYES.
HERE ARE A MILLION REPETITIVE PHOTOS I TOOK OF IT BECAUSE I COULD NOT CONCEAL MY EXCITEMENT.

✌✌✌ IT IS DONE ✌✌✌
music is Early 70s Music by Black Moth Super Rainbow
my eyes are sore and i have wiggid hand cramps, but IT'S WINTER BREAK!!!!!!!

printed out some DCS stuff to make stickers. i didn't realize how small they were... the one in the middle is barely even the size of my hand. took me a good 20 minutes to cut it. :I NEED TO RESIZE. the little mouths are also really tiny, so i don't think they're worth selling. MAYBE YOU'LL SEE THEM SOMEWHERE IN THE CITY? i'll stick them on things within the next week. is that vandalism??

anyways peace out muthasuckas. going to grab Firefly and Golden Sun and have THE BEST WEEKEND EVER??
